St. Andrew's State Park in Panama City Beach

St. Andrew's State Recreational Area is located on the east end of Panama City Beach at the end of Thomas Drive. There's 1,260 acres of unspoiled beaches, dunes, pine trees and marshes offers a full day of exploration. The beaches at St. Andrew's were rated #1 in America of the 650 beaches included in a University study in 1995. Campers,
nature lovers and tourist alike are drawn to the park. There's so much
to do, camping, fishing, water sports, bicycling, bird watching
and hiking along two nature trails. The camp site is situated along
Grand Lagoon Exploring the nature trails will allow you the opportunity to view some 400 species of plant life and some unique regional wildlife, mostly the feathered and friendly variety. Alligator Lake on the other hand may offer a glimpse at an Alligator in the wild - probably the only opportunity you'll have anywhere in Panama City Beach. Surrounded by water on three sides, St. Andrew's offers great fishing opportunities. From the 450' pier or along the rocks across from Shell Island (The Jetties) are a couple of the more popular areas. Fresh water fishing at Alligator Lake offers another option.
