Lorrie Morgan The Bellamy Brothers

Lorrie Morgan with Special Guest The Bellamy Brothers

Lorrie Morgan was barely a teenager when she made her first major appearance in 1975 singing “Paper Roses. 1984 she made history when at age twenty-five she was the youngest person ever to become a member of the Grand Ole Opry. A string of hits began the timeless country standards like “Five Minutes,” “Something in Red,” “Watch Me” and “What Part of No” established Lorrie as a bona fide country star.

For more than 30 years, the Bellamy Brothers have been an unassuming picture of consistency in Country music. They had numerous No. 1 hits on both the Pop and Country charts, with songs like "Let Your Love Flow,". “If I Said You Had A Beautiful Body (Would You Hold It Against Me),” “Sugar Daddy,” “Dancin’ Cowboys,” “Redneck Girl,” “When I’m Away From You,” and “I Could Be Persuaded” are just some of the Bellamys’ Top Ten hits that populated the Pop/Rock and Country charts from the ‘70s into the ‘90s.

Interesting Fact

In 1979 a few locals had an idea, let’s throw a party for a few thousand of our closest friends and invite as many new ones as possible and do it on the 3 day weekend in October. The Panama City Beach Seafood Festival was born, and while over the past 30 years the festival has changed in many ways including a few name changes (i.e. Indian Summer Festival) the premiere festival of Panama City Beach is now the Seafood, Wine & Music Festival and quite simply the best version of the festival ever. The key is for the first time in a long time the festival is back in the hands of local’s with a vested interest in making every aspect of the festival something PCB can be proud of. Renowned restaurateur Jack Bishop put together a partnership with longtime residents and businessmen CJ Ryan and Steve Pizza to create a festival that better represents the current feel and future direction of Panama City Beach. Their idea for the festival was simple - a celebration of the wonderful array of local area seafood prepared by local chefs merged with local and nationally acclaimed wines & entertainment along with specialty vendors and a real focus on families.
